Here is another cool story of casting vision for someone...

A few weeks ago, I shared a blog about a woman casting vision for myself...and the story resonated with many of you!!

Well, as I was thinking of another significant event in my life....

it is because another person cast vision into my life!

Here is a little backstory...

About 18 months ago, we launched RISE, a community for faith-forward men who want to win at home and work. I'm grateful to say we have 110+ men in the community!

Well, in June, we launched a private RISE community for a company in the Midwest!

I didn't come up with the idea for RISE Private.

One of my clients did!

Ace has been a 1:1 executive coaching client of mine and, over the last year, he's also participated in different calls inside our RISE community.

Earlier this year, one of his key executives left the company.

This employee had been responsible for leadership development, so I asked Ace:

"What are you going to do now that this employee is gone? How are you going to backfill him?"

I was not expecting his answer!

"I want to bring RISE inside our company."

I thought, "What?!?! What are you talking about?"

He explained he wanted to take what he'd experienced through RISE and make it available to his employees.

A weekly call with practical leadership development.

Conversations about work, relationships, health, mindset, and purpose.

Some of the same content we were already teaching inside the RISE community, but adapted for his organization — men and women, different roles, and people across a wide spectrum of faith.

So in June, we launched RISE Private!!

We're now 12 weeks in.

And it's working.

Why?

Because we're not just talking about how to become better employees.

We're talking about how to become better people.

Yes, we talk about leadership, communication, and self-awareness.

But we also talk about marriage, parenting, physical health, and finances!

Because here's something I've believed for years:

You don't have a work self and a home self. You have one self.

When things are falling apart at home, they don't magically disappear when you get to work.

You're distracted.

You're carrying stress.

Your energy is somewhere else.

You might be sitting in the meeting, but mentally you're replaying the argument from last night or worrying about what's waiting for you when you get home.

The opposite is true too.

When you're winning at home, you tend to show up differently at work.

You have more confidence, more clarity, thus more energy.

Ace knew that was the case! He knew investing in the whole person wasn't separate from developing his company.

It was part of developing his company.

For years, companies have invested heavily in helping people become better at their jobs with sales training, technical training, and management training.

All of those things matter.

But what if we expanded our definition of leadership development?

What if developing leaders also meant helping them become better spouses, parents, friends, and stewards of their health, money, and time?

What if we cared about the person beyond what they could produce for the company?

I believe the organizations that do this well are going to have an advantage.

Yes, leaders need to care about revenue, margins, and customers.

But we're also responsible for the people entrusted to us.

That's what we're building with RISE Private.

We're helping companies invest in their people in a different way.

Helping leaders win at work AND at home!

Are you ready to invest in the WHOLE person of your employee? When you invest in the whole person, you get a better person - not just a better employee!

And remember....RISE Private all started because someone cast vision for me! So who can you cast vision for this week? Who can you help grow and reach a better version of themselves?
